Only caught the first half hour of this game which is a pity as it looked as though a sprightly game was going to break out.

As it was, I did catch three tries with the visitors leading 14 – 5 when I left. Tries from Ollie Parkes and Adam Keed, converted by Harry Warke, had put BRA into a 14 point lead before Ben McCrossan had responded for Bangor as the home side struggled against a strong headwind.

McCrossan crossed again before half time and, with this one converted by Rhys Larmour, it was a two point game. BRA scored their third on the stroke of half time through Patrick Termini but I guess Bangor would have been happy enough turning round with a seven point deficit given the strength of the wind.

Unfortunately, for the home side, they were unable to take full advantage. Bangor did add tries from Cameron Stewart and Oliver Hamilton, both converted by Larmour, but BRA matched them score for score with Jack Whitley crossing before second row Keed got over for his second to claim the match.

Final score: Bangor Grammar 26 Belfast Royal Academy 33.
