PRO14: Teams up for Benetton v Ulster

Teams are up for the first match of our Italian double header on Saturday as Ulster take on Benetton Rugby in Treviso.

James Hume will make his first start at while last week’s debutant, Robert Baloucoune, shook off a groin problem and starts on the right wing.

In the loose it’s a strong front row. Rob Herring didn’t make the trip to Chicago and starts at hooker alongside Eric O’Sullivan and Marty Moore. Alan O’Connor captains the side from the second row and is partnered by Kieran Treadwell who impressed last week. The back row is strong and more familiar and an area where Ulster should have the upper hand. Nick Timoney returns to the starting team after missing the Dragons victory, while Marcell Coetzee and Sean Reidy are the flankers.

It’s a first start for Hume, but he has the experienced Stuart McCloskey on his inside. With Baloucoune starting on the right wing, Benetton may look to attack that 13-14 channel due to the inexperience of both players. Michael Lowry . . .
