Club Women: Cavan 12 City of Derry 12 (Ulster Championship)

Cavan and City of Derry battled out a 12 all draw on Sunday afternoon at Co Cavan RFC on the opening weekend of the Ulster Women’s Championship.

It was a close fought encounter in this Division 1 tie. City of Derry took a seven point lead into the break after a try by Donna Redmond converted by Ciara Ó Mórdha.

Cavan’s Lisa Sith scored a second half brace, one converted by Niamh Walsh, but a try from Derry’s Joanna Ha’unga ensured the visitors returned home with a share of the spoils.

Final score – Cavan 12 City of Derry 12.
