We kick off our AIL 1B coverage with pictures from City of Armagh’s game against Old Wesley at the Palace Grounds on Saturday afternoon.

Armagh will be disappointed that they let this one slip as there were long periods where they played the better rugby. However, Old Wesley were more clinical and they will be delighted to return to Dublin with four points in the bag, Armagh picking up a losing bonus.

Both sides scored three tries with Armagh’s Andrew Smyth, Timmy McNeice and Gerard Treanor all crossing. Cormac Fox added one conversion.

Old Wesley responded through a Paul Harte brace with Tom Kiersey also crossing. Rory Stynes made the difference with two conversions and a penalty.
