Portadown College came out on top 24 – 43 in a highly entertaining game against Belfast High on Saturday morning at the High Schools plush new playing fields.

It was nip and tuck in the first half with both teams scoring three tries each, the High School taking a 19 – 17 lead into the break by virtue of an extra conversion.

The teams again swapped tries at the start of the second half to tie the game at 24 all before Portadown cut loose with a three try burst in the final quarter.

The Belfast High School points came through tries from Jack Ferguson (2) and Cameron McKimm (2). Aaron Douglas added two conversions.

The Portadown College points came through tries from captain, Dylan Nelson (2), Marshall Clint, Elliott McKew, Tom Symington, Caleb Collins and Jordan McAteer. Adam Speers added four conversions and one referee!  😯

Final score: Belfast High 24 Portadown College 43.
