A first half blitz from Wasps was enough to topple Ulster in their final pre-season outing before attention turns to the opening Guinness PRO14 match against Scarlets.

A Nathan Hughes brace and try from Nizaam Carr gave the hosts a 19-0 lead after 20 minutes. was sent to the sin bin on the half hour mark with following shortly after.

Zurabi Zhvania scored Wasps’ fourth try at the start of the second half while Nick Timoney got Ulster on the board with his second try of pre-season.

Kieran Treadwell leads a break out for Ulster against Wasps.

Hughes scored his third and Wasps’ final try of the night shortly before Angus Kernohan scored his first try in an Ulster shirt out wide.
