Ulster to kick off the PRO14 season against the Scarlets

Almost three weeks after the fixtures for the Aviva Premiership and TOP14 were released, the Guinness PRO14 fixtures have finally been revealed and with it confirmation that Ulster will face last season’s finalists, Scarlets, in the opening match of the 2018-19 campaign at Kingspan Stadium.

As reported in the Belfast Telegraph on Friday, a home match against Richard Cockerill’s Edinburgh follows before a double header in South Africa on the 16th and 21st September.

Attention turns to the inter-provincial matches in rounds five and six as Ulster travel to Munster before hosting Connacht at Kingspan Stadium before the league takes a two-week break as Ulster kick off their Heineken Champions Cup campaign.

Ulster return to league action with matches at home to Dragons and away to Treviso. A tough festive period begins with an away trip to Scarlets on 23rd November before facing Cardiff and Munster at home and Connacht and Leinster away.

Ulster only achieved 12 match points in those five game weeks last season and . . .
