Club Men: Kukri Ulster Rugby Div 2 Wrap

There were a couple of important fixtures in the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship Division 2 over the weekend with Ballymoney looking to put pressure on Randalstown for the promotion play off place and UUC looking to get clear of the relegation play offs.

UUC benefited the most over the weekend with their bonus point win against Larne lifting them clear of the relegation play offs, for the time being at least.

Grosvenor, who won the league a few weeks ago continued on their winning ways with a convincing win against Limavady but Ards’ bonus point win against Ballymoney has hampered the Toons hopes for a promotion play off place with Randalstown now five points clear with a game in hand and two to play.

As said earlier UUC’s bonus point win against Larne lifts them a point clear of Lisburn who drop into the relegation play off place. Both teams still have three to play and I suspect this one will go down to the wire.
