It’s the final full week in the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship Division 3 and there are a couple of matches that should keep the discerning rugby spectator entertained.
Top of the bill we have a repeat of last weekend’s Gordon West Cup as beaten finalists Donaghadee entertain Champions Lurgan, the match having double the spice as it will also decide who get’s the automatic promotion place into Division 2.
Dee trail Lurgan by three points at the top of the table and I’m sure nothing would give the home team more pleasure than to pip them to the automatic promotion place in this one.
The Lurgan fans had been partying hard before, during and after last week’s victory with sales of Buckfast hitting unprecedented peaks. How much of the “Lurgan Champagne” made it to the team changing rooms may well decide the outcome of this one!
