The University of Ulster Coleraine, Rugby Club recorded a much needed win on Saturday afternoon against Academy Rugby club in the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship Division 2 match.

It wasn’t the most exciting matches but UUC were good value for their 18 – 0 win with tries from Chris Allen and Adam Johnston.

The result moves the students three points clear of PSNI at the bottom of Division 2, the PSNI going down to a 43 – 0 loss against a resurgent Larne RFC.

With Grosvenor building up a massive 18 point lead in their unbeaten run at the top of the table it looks as though the action is going to be amongst the bottom three of Lisburn, UUC and PSNI for the remainder of the season.
