Wellington College and Belfast High School finally got the 2017-18 Danske Bank Ulster Schools Cup up and running on Wednesday afternoon with Wellington College hosting Belfast High School at Carolan Road.

The other First Round match between Carrick Grammar and Strabane Academy was postponed again with a date and time still to be agreed at the time of writing.

Belfast High came out on top 12 – 22 in this encounter with tries from Thabiso Madlala, Jack Ferguson and Ethan McConkey. Brandon McMinn added an early penalty and two conversions.

The High School will now travel to Rainey Endowed on Saturday 6th January for their second round match. Full Second Round draw below.
