Malone Women continued their hugely impressive run in the Ulster Women’s League with a convincing 0 – 48 win at City of Derry on Sunday afternoon.

The Front Row Union Academy player Neve Jones opened the scoring, grabbing an early brace for the visitors before Ali Boal and Zarah Ryan also crossed. Ella Durkan converted two to give Malone a 0 – 24 lead.

Malone’s flame haired out half was certainly on fire as Durkan bagged a brace of tries herself before Jasmine Ward and Peita McAlister chipped in with a try each to complete the rout. Durkan added two further conversions to score 18 pints in total in Malone’s 0 – 48 win.

Both teams wore the #LEGACY armband in protest of the IRFU’s downgrading of the Women’s XV Programme.
