Ulster A: Team announced for Cornish Trip

Win, lose or draw I suspect that Ulster A’s British and Irish Cup campaign effectively ends this weekend as the powers that be look to use this fixture as a rehabilitation half way house rather than try to develop a winning squad.

In comes Schalk van der Merwe, Peter Nelson, Clive Ross and Craig Gilroy for a wee run out ahead of bigger games and while they will undoubtedly add to the overall strength of the team it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth for those that performed last week. Out goes Pete Browne no doubt to hold tackle bags in France. With only nine starting from last week it’s no wonder our Academy performs so badly, there has been little continuity for these players over the seasons.

The other change to the starting XV see the talented Jonny Stewart come in for, last weeks man of the Match, Aaron Cairns. We’re big fans of young Stewart here at the Front . . .
