Methodist College Belfast will play Royal Belfast Academical Institution in the Danske Bank Ulster Schools Cup Final at Ravenhill on Friday 17th March.
The results went with the FRU Rugby Rankings as top seeds RBAI cruised through to the final on Monday afternoon with a comprehensive victory against third placed Ballymena Academy. (Report and pictures here.)
On Tuesday afternoon fourth ranked MCB beat eleventh ranked BRA 37 – 21 in the second semi final. MCB’s Paul Kerr grabbed an early brace before James McConnell added a third in the first half. Kerr completed his hat trick in the second half with Johnny Jordan and Thomas Gallagher also crossing. Kerr racked up twenty two points in total, converting two of the tries and a penalty.
The BRA tries came from Bradley Luney and Matthew Dalton with Conor McAuley adding eleven points from the tee.
