Cooke Women bowed out of the All Ireland Cup thanks to a 7- 27 loss to Railway Union at Shawsbridge on Sunday afternoon.
A much changed Cooke found themselves down by ten points in as many minutes with their back line in disarray. Railways third and fourth tries came by the half hour mark causing Cooke coach Grace Davitt to make some positional changes.
The changes had an immediate effect with Cooke looking more solid for the remainder of the half.
The home side produced a much improved performance in the second half with Amy Davis causing the visitors frequent problems and the ex Ireland international crossed for a deserved try at the end of the third quarter, converted by Jemma Jackson. However the visitors had the final say with a late converted try to take the final score to Cooke 7 Railway Union 27.
