Women: All Ireland League Week 1 Preview

This Sunday, 11th September, sees the start of the Women’s All Ireland League and with the World Rugby 2017 Women’s World Cup being held in Dublin and Belfast next August it’s going to be a massive season for the players who will be vying for a place in the Ireland side. 

As part of our continued commitment to the women’s game we will be sponsoring Cooke Women RFC, Ulster’s only representative in the senior league, and as part of that sponsorship we’ll be covering every one of their matches, home and away.  

Cooke underwent something of a revival last season, their first season back in the AIL since 2012 -13. Under the guidance of ex Ireland International Grace Davitt they finished sixth in the league and their improving form throughout the season saw them enjoy an end of season cup run all the way to the All Ireland Final where they lost out to a strong Galwegians
