Two Ulster players edged out following the victory against Scotland and I suspect that another two, Trimble and Henry will be found surplus to requirements after the match against Wales!
The predictability of the Ireland team selections really does leave me completely uninspired as the old tried and tested combinations are rolled out once again. The priorities of the IRFU really do need addressed if Ireland are to ever get above the second tier of International Rugby.
It’s early days to start criticising Joe Schmidt but the Rugby World Cup is next year you know. Luke Marshall sacrificed for a 34 year old and Iain Henderson bumped for a player that turns 35 this year.
Hard to know what way this one will go and it all depends if Ireland can find a level of intensity similar to that the found against the All Blacks. This game might just have enough niggle about it, but I don’t think it will and I can only see a win for Wales. 🙁
