Club: Mighty Larne’s Cup Run Scuppered in Wild West!

by

Again illness prevented me attending this classic cup match but from the solidly reliable comments on Facebook it appears that the young Larne side were robbed of a sensational win against Omagh RFC on Saturday afternoon in the second round of the Towns Cup!

Larne ultimately went down 19 – 10 at Omagh but a massive effort from the seasiders saw them lead until the last 10 minutes when a second penalty try awarded to the hosts enabled the home team to pull clear in the final minutes.

I’m sure the argument will rage and rage in the bars, promenade and terraces of Ravenhill for the rest of this season but as I’ll now be following Omagh in the next round I can’t say too much!  😈

Ballymena 2’s were awarded a bye with UUC not being able to field, giving the rest of the second round results as follows!

Reliable comments???? In the land of the blind, the one-eyed Gleno man is king, two fantastically we’ll worked penalty tries ultimately broke the hearts of the vocal travelling support. Ragin raven virtually frothing at the mouth. Will enjoy your new found Accies support now

    1. Lol Dergman. Haven’t spoken to Ragin Raven yet. I look forward to his critical analysis at the weekend!
