If you love rugby in Ulster and Ireland we would love you to get involved with the Front Row Union.
We received some great news earlier this season from an independent user survey carried out by Userneeds who have worked with the top sports sites in Ireland.
Somewhat to our surprise, we came out with higher than average scores across the board, when compared to other sports sites – in fact, according to the final report, “The Front Row Union scores better on all design and usability parameters compared to other sports sites.”

What we found particularly pleasing was that we got the highest scores in the categories for trust and communication with benchmark scores of 78 in both and I’d like to thank all the people that have contributed to the site so far, particularly Peter, Nathan, Megan, Stuart, Graham, Robert and Michelle, who have helped us get to where we are.
However we know that there is a lot more that we can do to keep our readers up to date with all aspects of Schools, Club and Women’s rugby in Ulster and Ireland and we would love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved in any of the following: –
Reporters – Anyone interested in reporting on all or any aspect of Schools, Club and Women’s rugby in Ulster, basically from school and club games all the way up to Ulster and Ireland matches.
Editorial – If match reports aren’t your thing then maybe you’d like to give a broader view of some aspect of rugby; we can help you get your opinion out to our 30,000 regular readers.
Photographers – A picture tells a thousand words and our galleries are regularly the most popular content. We’re looking for match photos of all levels of rugby and we can help you get accreditation with all the major unions and the IRB.
Graphic Designers – We’re a visual site and we are always looking for graphic designers to help breathe new life into how the site looks plus we are looking for graphic designers who can enhance our range of tee’s, hoodies and other merchandise.
Web Design/Multimedia – We are always trying to keep up to date with the latest developments in web design and multi media to enhance the site appearance and our coverage of matches and events. We’d love to make the site more interactive adding more audio and video.
Social Media – Get involved with our Facebook and Twitter accounts and help bring more people to the site.
Sales and Marketing – This would be the biggest help of all as we just don’t have time to do it. We are the largest independent financial contributor to the Women’s game in Ulster, if not Ireland, but we would like to do more. We have great products, with the site and with our merchandise, but we need new ideas to get them out there!
These roles would particularly suit rugby lovers at either end of the spectrum i.e. students and retired.
Our past student contributors have been able to use the experience gained with the Front Row Union to go into full-time media positions and if you’re retired this is a great opportunity to learn new skills doing something you enjoy.
