Ravens: Strong Ulster side named for Connacht Clash

Ulster Elite Performance Development Manager, Allen Clarke, has named his Ravens team to face Connacht Eagles in Galway tomorrow afternoon (Sportsground, 3pm kick off).

Hooker, Niall Annett, will captain the side, with Kyle McCall and Ricky Lutton joining him in the front row. Former Leinster Academy player, Alan O’Connor, is partnered in the second row by the experienced Neil McComb, while ex RS Armagh pupils Neil Faloon and Ali Birch join Sean O’Connell in the backrow.

Michael Heaney, who signed a new two year deal with Ulster earlier this week, is partnered by former Connacht outhalf Niall O’Connor at halfback, while Chris Cochrane and Michael Allen, who have both played for the Ulster senior side in recent weeks are named on the wings.

Ricky Andrew, who has had a run of five games for Ulster at fullback is named at outside centre, alongside Dungannon’s Stuart McCloskey, who starts at 12.

Peter Nelson has recovered from the ankle injury that he sustained in December and starts at fullback.
