Ulster Women scrum down with Fitzpatrick.

With the Women’s Interprovincial’s due to start in a few weeks time the Ulster Women’s Rugby Squad have upped their training sessions to two days a week and are looking to tighten up their technique as the prepare to take on Leinster, Munster and Connacht in September.

Last weekend the Women’s coaching team called on the specialist scrummaging services of Dungannon Director of Rugby and ex Ulster and Ireland front row specialist Justin Fitzpatrick.

With 26 Ireland caps under his belt Fitzpatrick was able to pass on plenty of advice to the players in his gruelling one hour session which looked at binding and driving in the scrum with a series of one on one exercises leading up to full scrums at the end of the session.

The girls were also able to take away a set of core exercises to work on throughout the season as they look to improve their individual skills.
