Rugby Rankings Week 16

With plenty of competitive matches being played last weekend, the rankings have seen a few significant changes:

Ballyclare HS and Methodist College both managed wins in their matches, albeit with just one point, to maintain 1st and 2nd place respectively; Ballymena Academy also managed to hold on to their position (3rd), but did so despite losing to RS Armagh. Apart from boosting Armagh’s confidence ahead of their quarter final against RBAI, the win boosts their placement in the rankings, moving from 7th into 5th.

Despite losing to favourites Ballyclare, Down HS have also improved their ranking; in fact, this week sees them placed at their highest position all season and break into the top 8.

Coleraine AI worked hard for their victory against Grosvenor GS, just when it looked like the Belfast side might hold out for another surprise in this season’s Cup. While Grosvenor remain at their highest rank of 14th, Coleraine improve their position by three places to go one above Grosvenor into 13th.
