Rugby Rankings Week 10

This week saw confirmation of where each team will enter this year’s Cup competition and so movement in the table this week has as much to do with this as it does with results.

The second round of the Schools Cup sees some interesting ties with perhaps the hardest to predict being RS Dungannon in 25th place against Antrim in 26th. It could also be a round were a few of the away teams are able to cause an upset with Belfast High, Larne Grammar, Grosvenor and Rainey all being higher ranked than their opponents.

First round winners Wellington, ranked at 28, face a difficult task against Portadown ranked at 20.

Bangor GS have gone through a minor slip in form as of late and so they miss out on entry at round 4. However, according to the rankings, they are the highest rated team in round 3 even the top seeds would do well to avoid them.
