Rugby Rankings Week 8

by

Once again Ulster Schools Rugby is keeping us on our toes by throwing up a few surprising results.

Portadown College may still find themselves in 16th after this week, but this doesn’t tell the full story as they first had a shock midweek defeat to Carrickfergus GS, but then recovered magnificently to gain a win over Sullivan Upper. The latter only drops one place to 12th after that performance, but Carrick jump a massive five places to 26th after picking up only their second win of the season so far.

However, this week ‘jaw dropping moment’ award definitely belongs in Dungannon where the Royal School home team pulled off a victory against a strong Bangor GS side. The win sees RS Dungannon move up the table and improve their score while Bangor fall down five places into 9th, allowing the teams previously just below them to move into the top 8.

    1. Only the Schools that we have covered with a match report are in the Categories folders. We hope to get round them all by the end of January.
