Despite Ulster’s comfortable win this was probably their least impressive performance, outside of the defeat by the Dragons, in the League this season. In the games, against Ospreys and Edinburgh, Ulster had gotten torn into their opponents from the off, but this game was won at a much more gentle canter.

Lacking passion is a bit harsh you don’t go to Galway and come away with a bonus point win lacking passion. The tempo of the game was set by the over rated George Clancey who made a few howlers and ensured Connacht stayed in the game longer than they should have.
Mention should also be made of the total domination Ulster enjoyed at scrum time against players rated higher by Ireland, with two thirds of the Connacht front row in the last Irish squad, the Ulster 3 drove them into the dirt or into the clouds as required.

Isaac Boss has a nasty eye injury lets hope it has settled down by Friday.
