Suzanna has been playing rugby with Carrick Ladies for eight seasons.
When and why you started playing rugby?
I started playing rugby about 8 years ago. I always enjoyed watching rugby when I was young but had never played, until a fellow Ulster supporter I met at Ravenhill invited me to come along to a training session with the girls in Carrick – and I loved it!
Most memorable match that you played in and why was it memorable?
Has to be my first cap for Ulster last season – I was so proud to pull on the Ulster jersey and step onto the pitch at Ravenhill. An amazing experience.
Least memorable match. Do you have a match that she’d like to forget?
One of my first matches, we were down playing at the High King Tens in Navan – tore my ankle ligaments and ended up out injured for most of the season!
Toughest opponent. Who and why?
Anytime I faced the strong pack of UL Bohs when I spent the 2006/07 season playing at prop for Blackrock. Rock and UL Bohs are two of the top teams in Ireland so it was always a tough match!
