Schools: Larne Grammar 22 Dromore High 26

Ever since we praised Larne Grammar’s revival a few weeks ago they have failed to record a win. So appologies to the players for putting the commentators curse on them!

Things didn’t go any better in this match with Dromore running out winners by 22 – 26 in an entertaining contest, both sides scoring four tries with two extra conversions from Ruben Cobb, making the difference.

The result should see Dromore continue their climb up the Ulster Schools Rugby Rankings but the match was probably close enough to halt Larne’s, hopefully, temporary slide.

Larne’s scores came from Jamie Ross, Aaron Gallagher, John Andrews and Jonny Farquhar with Euan Glenn converting one.

Dromore replied through Tom Dolaghan, Richard Dixon, Ben Heath and James Moore with Cobb landing, those all important, three conversions.
