The fixtures for the Guinness PRO14 2017-18 season have been released and Ulster open their campaign with a home game against the Toyota Cheetahs on Friday, September 1st (kick off 19:35).

Ulster’s first away trip is to Treviso the following weekend before welcoming PRO14 Champions, Scarlets, to Belfast on 15th September.

A home game against the Dragons and an away trip to Parma where Zebre await round off the opening five fixtures, both of which Ulster will be expecting to pick up maximum points in.

While Ulster will certainly be aiming to win all five of their opening games, if Ulster end September with 20 points, it should leave them with the momentum and in a promising position heading into the derby matches.

The first inter-provincial derby for Ulster is on Friday 6th October when Ulster host 2015-16 PRO12 Champions Connacht before facing semi-finalists Leinster at Kingspan on Saturday 28th October.

Ulster’s clash in Galway with Connacht takes place on Saturday 23rd December (19:35) before the visit of Munster on New Years Day (17:35) and finally a trip to Dublin rounds off the festive period on Saturday 6th January (17:35)

Ulster have an extremely difficult conclusion to the season with four away games in the last six matches. These include trips to Thomond Park, Myreside to face Edinburgh, Parc-y-Scarlets and Cardiff Arms Park. Glasgow visit Kingspan on 2/3 March and Ulster’s final home game is against Ospreys on 13/14 April.

Ulster have not won in Edinburgh since February 2015 and have only won two out of their last four visits to Cardiff, however have not lost to Ospreys at Ravenhill/Kingspan since February 2013.
