Inst won 10 – 3 against near neighbours Campbell College in this hard fought Danske Bank Schools Cup quarter final at Foxes Field.
Will Davis opened the scoring with a penalty for Campbell before Joe Finnegan crossed for an unconverted try for the hosts to give RBAI a 5 – 3 lead at the break.
Campbell pushed hard in the second half but the Inst line remained in tact and a late break from that man Finnegan saw him cross for his second, unconverted, score.
Final Score: RBAI 10 Campbell 3
Inst now go on to play Ballymena Academy in a repeat of last year’s Danske Bank Schools Cup semi final. The match takes place at Ravenhill on Monday 27th February.
