Women: All Ireland League Week 9 Wrap.

The Women’s All Ireland League resumed on Sunday afternoon with local side Cooke entertaining St Mary’s at Shawsbridge in a bottom of the table clash. 

Unfortunately for the home side the match didn’t go Cooke’s way with the visitors recording a 17 – 29 win. You can view our match gallery here.

It was a weekend of surprises throughout the league with Railway Union being the only home side to record a win, besting Old Belvedere by 25 – 8 at Willow Lodge. Ulster’s Nikki Caughey on form with the boot to record a conversion and a penalty in Union’s win. 

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the weekend was high flying Galwegians home loss to Highfield with the Cork outfit rising up the table with their 17 – 34 win. 

Limerick’s UL Bohemians continued their unbeaten campaign with a 15 – 19 away win . . .
