The teams were announced earlier this morning for Ulster Rugby’s final European match, for this season, where they face Bordeaux Beagles at Ravenhill on Saturday afternoon. Kick off 13:00, live on Sky Sports.
There has been plenty of grumbling about Ulster Rugby’s recent form so the boys “should” be fired up and looking finish the campaign on a high.
It’s a much changed Bordeaux side from the one that started the last time these two teams met, with only four of the then starting XV making the cut for the trip to Belfast. Whether this is good or bad is hard to say as there are not a lot of names that I recognise outside of Ian Madigan and Tom Porter.
However, this game will be won by whichever team wants it most and in this case, it really should be Ulster Rugby. A loss is not an option as it would leave their matches against Bordeaux bookending their worst series of results since 2010 . . .
