The teams were announced earlier this afternoon for tomorrow night’s provincial showdown between Ulster and Connacht at Ravenhill. Kick off 19:35, live on BBCNI.
Ulster welcome back Jared Payne, Andrew Trimble and Rory Best from Ireland duty and I’m pleased to see that Payne is returning to play at full back. Interestingly enough Payne’s centre partner in the national side, Robbie Henshaw, is also starting at fifteen, giving us the most interesting head to head of the game. Youth and enthusiasm against guile and cunning. it’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top.
Peter Browne, who has impressed in his last few outings, comes into second row for the injured Alan O’Connor and Roger Wilson replaces Nick Williams at No. 8.
It’s interesting to note that this game features the two teams who have scored the most try bonus points this season . . .
