Ulster maintained their unbeaten record in the Heineken Cup with a second bonus point win against Treviso.

As predicted, they had to work a lot harder in a foggy Stadio Comunale di Monigo with Luke Marshall’s opening try coming only minutes before the break but the Belfast side pulled away in the second half with scores from Craig Gilroy, Robbie Diack and Jared Payne securing the bonus.

There won’t be much on the nuances of the game in this report as, due to the fog, we could only see about half the game but it appeared to be a good workmanlike performance with Ulster’s extra class making the difference in the end.

Ulster looked to take the sting out of the home side from early on in a fairly uneventful first half. Paddy Jackson slotted over a 10th minute penalty but the home side appeared to be getting on top and Di Bernardo levelled the scores on the half hour.

The game changer came two minutes before the break . . .
