Rory Best fails to feature for the Lions in Saturday’s match against Queensland Reds, kick off 10:30am UK/Ire time.
There’s no need to panic just yet but our Ror has some ground to make up following a low key performance on Saturday where he looked to be substantially off the pace. Fortunately none of the hookers have particularly stood out but with the Reds expected to be the Lions toughest opponents before the test matches England’s Tom Youngs and Wales’ Richard Hibbard get a good opportunity to stake a claim for the test start.
Bowe gets another run on the wing and, given the current form of the Monaghan heart throb, he’s as locked down as a starter for the tests as you can be. Bowe starts at 11 this time round so it looks like it’s just a case of which ever other winger best plays along side him.
