Who'll get their hands on the Rosie Stewart Cup this season?
Wow, what a weekend in the Rosie Stewart Cup! To say there were a few surprises would be an understatement.
The BOOM’s were going out loud and clear across Facebook as the results trickled in on Sunday evening!
BOOM 1. City of Derry 3 Enniskillen 41. A fantastic result for Skins who comprehensively beat the Cup holders on their home patch. There’s not many sides that have managed that over the last few years let alone romp home by such a margin. Skins look well set to wrap up Division West.
BOOM 2. Cooke 68 Belfast Harlequins 0. Never saw that one coming! The Cookies have really re-established themselves as the No 1 team in Belfast wopping their near neighbours and closest rivals, that’s gotta hurt!
BOOM 3. Where did this Queens team come from? Last season they could hardly scrape together enough players and now they are unbeaten in two games, following up their midweek draw against Quins with a sound beating of Carrick. Imogen Porter must be working her magic!
BOOM 4. Sligo hit back after last weeks defeat to Skins with a comfortable win over Cavan – never an easy task!
Some big statements there. Looking forward to next week’s fixtures already!
