It was a disappointing weekend in the AIL for Ulster women’s sides with Enniskillen the only tea nm to pick up points and that was against fellow Ulster side Carrickfergus with Skins producing the biggest score of the day to record a 39 – 0 win.

Cill Dara ladies produced a sparkling display to see off a gutsy Cavan side by 33 – 0 with the Ulster outpost disappointed to have lost two on the bounce.

However the main surprise of the day was a disjointed City of Derry going down 17 – 0 to Longford despite turning round 0 – 0 at the break. However Longford were able to step up in the second half and the inexperience of some of Derry’s pack told allowing the home team to pull away.

Sun 9th Oct 11 Cill Dara RFC 33 – 0 Cavan Kildare Town

Sun 9th Oct 11 Garda 34 – 0 NUIM Barnhall Westmanstown
Sun 9th Oct 11 Longford RFC 17 – 0 City Of Derry Longford

The results see Enniskillen move into second place with City of Derry plumeting from top spot to 6th. Belfast Harlequins will be back in action this weekend.
