Teah Maguire and Emma Lowe go through their paces at Ulster Women’s training on Sunday.

The Front Row Union caught up with the Ulster Women’s training squad on Sunday morning as the girls prepare for next month’s Interprovincial series which kicks off on Saturday 3rd September with an opening fixture against Leinster at Ravenhill. (Time and venue still to be confirmed!)

Ulster Women’s Head Coach Benjy van der Byl, has continued to bring new talent through to increase competition within the squad and there was certainly evidence of a new level of intensity as the girls form Cooke, Quins, City of Derry, Carrick and Sligo completed a “spirited” full contact session just as I arrived.

“That’s gotta hurt!”, I exclaimed on my arrival as Lauren Day welcomed Grace Davitt to the game with a crunching tackle, but unfortunately just as I was struggling to . . .
