Enjoy the fun at Queens tag day.

Just as your thought the tag season was coming to an end, Queen’s University have announced a “Women’s Only” charity tag event for the Sunday 4th September.

The event will be held at the Dub, with teams meeting at 12.30 and it promises to be a fantastic day of fun for all involved.

Teams will be made up of 7 players as usual, with 10 being an ideal squad size. The entry fee will be £50 pounds per team, with £25 of that going to the children’s charity Cash for Kids.

This is a tournament for your sports team, business or community group to have fun learning and playing Tag Rugby while supporting a very worthwhile cause. Absolutely no experience is necessary and there will be food and drinks available on the day. It’s also the day after the Ulster women’s Interprovincial game against Leinster at Ravenhill so why not make a point of attending both and supporting women’s rugby in Ulster and a help a great charity.

The following is an excerpt from the ‘Cash for Kids’ website, providing a brief intro to the charity:

‘Cash for Kids’ is the umbrella brand for Bauer Radio’s network of independently registered, local charities which operate across 20 local areas within the UK..

We deliver initiatives for sick and underprivileged children in our communities, to benefit local children and give the neediest a better and brighter future. With cash raised and donated locally, each charity guarantees that generous donations from listeners and the community will go to bring, hope, healing or happiness to a child in your local area.
