We’ve had a quick look at the possibility of hiring a coach for the Leicester away match with departures from Larne with P & O.
There is an option for a pick up from Stranraer if you wish to travel from Belfast via Stenna however, to fit into the schedule (a 10:00 departure from Cairnryan) you would need to get the 03:30 sailing from Belfast arriving Stranraer 06:30. Bus would pick you up about 9:30 and head up to Cairnryan for the rest of the group. This may change when the new Stenna terminal opens?
The rough itinerary is:
Sat 19th November
Depart Cairnryan @ 10:00
Arrive Leicester @ 16:00 – 17:00 (No stops – toilet facilities on coach.)
Sunday 20th November
Depart Leicester @ 11:00
Arrive Cairnryan/Stranraer @ 17:00 – 18:00 (Comfort breaks will be possible on return journey.)
Price £30 – £35 depending on numbers.
At the time of writing the ferry prices are:
Stenna Foot Passenger – £56 return
P & O Foot Passenger – £52 return
There is the option that should there be enough interest that we may be able to negotiate a better rate with the ferry companies and I would expect the overall cost to be somewhere round £80 all in. This is for guidance only.
Please note: Should you wish to travel you will be responsible for purchasing your own ferry ticket, overnight accommodation and match ticket. We will only be organising the coach!
