RaboDirect have published a provisional fixture list for the Pro 12 League Fixtures.

Unfortunately it only indicates weekends of fixtures but it’s going to be a tough Christmas period with Leinster and Munster back to back and hopefully play off qualification will be secured before we hit the reverse fixtures for our final two games at the end of the regular season.

Treviso away in March looks good for a little trip to Italy as does Aironi in September - unfortunately I’ll be tied up with Interpros for that one!

Don’t go booking anything just yet for any of these fixture, for as the old saying goes they are subject to verification. [Note: They now seem to be verified with official sites running them!]

The mid Sep to the end of Oct looks very unsettleing Ospreys Dragons and Scarlets away extremely difficult fixtures for away wins this may be a season when losing bonus points will be a must with key players unavailable due to the world cup. Then again the Welsh teams could be in an even worse situation than Ulster at that time.

I suspect that Leinster and Munster may fear the end of the season to a greater extent than Ulster as they would be expecting ERC semis about that time and have in the past try to rest some players .

Munster could be an unpredicable team this year with some players having taken part in their last World Cup–will they have the same motivation ? of course they will say they have and may on occasions play with it but maintaining for the whole season may be hard.
