It was a disappointing end for Ireland U20’s as they slumped to a 24 – 38 defeat to Wales in their final match of the 2011 Junior World Cup.

Ireland (14) 24

TRY: Andrew Conway, Andrew Boyle, Iain Henderson

CON: James McKinney, Paddy Jackson (2)

PEN: Paddy Jackson

Wales (21) 38

TRY: Lewis Robling, Macauley Cook, Liam Williams, Cory Hill, Thomas Young

CON: Matthew Morgan (2)

PEN: Matthew Morgan (3)

Wales were always in front with Lewis Robling, Macauley Cook, Liam Williams, Cory Hill, and Thomas Young all crossing, Matthew Morgan adding two conversions and three penalties.

Ireland did have something to celebrate with Andrew Conway crossing the line for his 10th try in the championship which now puts him joint top try scorer alongside New Zealand’s Zac Guildford.
