Dungannon's Chris Cochrane should be a key player for the Stevenson Park outfit.
We had a look at this match back in January. Unfortunately due to a frozen pitch at Stevenson Park the game was postponed and will now played on Saturday 12th March at Stevenson Park, KO 2:30.
It appears that the delay may have worked in Dungannon’s favour as the Ulster side have hit a rich vein of form at home winning their three home fixtures since the postponement. They did lose away to league leaders Clontarf at the beginning of February but Justin Fitzpatrick’s men will be pleased with their steady climb up the league and will be aiming for a top three finish.
Corinthians on the other hand have had mixed results winning one, drawing one and losing two of their last four games and the Connacht Cup holders will not be relishing the trip to in form Dungannon. However the home side must be wary as in a Cup match anything can happen!
Dungannon will be missing their high flying youngsters Patrick Jackson and Craig Gilroy but Fitzpatrick should have the luxury of wheeling out veteran Kieran Campbell at out half and will be able to field an exciting back three with the likes of Chris Cochrane, Conor Gaston and Michael Lawton all bringing a nice blend of power, pace and finesse to the back line.
Indeed Fitzpatrick and Campbell can be pleased with the development of the team this season, as they have brought through a plethora of youngsters who have featured for Ulster and the Ravens in recent months and there can be no denying that the loss up to seven front line players to representative sides has stifled their league push throughout the season.
However a win on Saturday may be just the boost they need for that final push for a highly creditible top three finish.
