It’s all getting very tight at the top of the table (view here) but Junty has managed to hold to top spot as we go into the New Year. However second place Corbo Texel won’t be too dissapointed as he has danced his way to the December Manager of the Month prize.
Creditable mentions also go to Setanta, Freddie Benson, Jim Galbraith and Ross McCarroll who also posted high scores but came up just short of Corbo’s total of 30 points for the month. Whether you’re still in the running for the main prize or not or if you have just joined it’s well worth keeping up with your predictions to have a chance to win a monthly prize. There are plenty of points on offer this month with two more weekends of Heineken Cup fixtures.
These weekend sees the second round of the festive derbies with the Italians and the Scots having return fixtures. Ulster make the trip to Limerick knowing they have to improve or they’ll be getting another battering and Scarlets will be out to prove a point after the 60 point romp by the Ospreys. I expect both these sides to turn it round this week.
