Ulster and Ireland’s Eliza Downey bagged a brace of tries as Ireland finished of their Women’s World Cup Campaign with an emphatic 32 – 8 win over Scotland to claim 7th place in the World standings.

It was a pleasing end to the tournament for a much improved Ireland side who came close to qualifying for the top four play-off’s only losing out on points difference and, bar a disappointing reversal to the USA, the squad and management will be pleased with the overall performance.

We’ve stacks of photo’s from today’s game and post match interviews with Eliza and Lauren Day which we’ll post to their blog in the next few days.
