Ulster U20’s won this rambunctious match against a seasoned Ballynahinch side 10 – 35.
The match consisted of 4 x 20 minute periods in full game conditions against a pretty robust Hinch side.
Both sides found themselves reduced to 13 men throughout the game.
The U20s pack, after the initial shock of coming up against a few ‘old hands’ really punched above their weight with the back row of Irvine, Gallagher and McGuigan, again very impressive with FRU favourite Dave McGuigan having a stormer!
By the end of the match it looked like it was the youngsters that have been playing together for a couple of years as a unit so impressive was their teamwork.
Don’t know if it’s time to get officially excited about this batch of U20’s but they are certainly looking a good crop.
