Aug 102010

This day week I’ll be travelling over to London with the team to settle into what my home will be for 3 weeks. I can’t actually believe the Women’s World Cup 2010 is literally just around the corner and I am getting a chance to be a part of it all…completely surreal!

This upcoming week is going to be a very, very busy one, between training and fitting in all my meetings in work before I head off!!

Getting ready to leave the house at 5am tomorrow morning to be in Galway for 9am for a charity (Breast Cancer Awareness) calendar photo shoot for the ladies Gaelic Football Association.

I’ve been chosen to be the Face of Down, I’m sure it will be a bit of craic but I can’t help but thinking a few beamers will be taken throughout the course of the day…getting hair, make up and clothes picked out so it should be fun!!

Excitement definitely has been growing throughout the squad in the lead up to our first game, organisation emails have been circulating and everybody’s buzzing about the weeks ahead.

The countdown is definitely on!!
