Andrew receives the Leaf Property Award from Eliza Downey
It was double delight from Lanzarote for two sets of Ulster players on Wednesday night at Belfast Harlequins Rugby Club.
First up we caught up with Leaf Properties, Lanzarote 2010 Player of the Year, Andrew Trimble, to officially hand over his trophy for last season and to discuss his availability for the second part of his award which includes a weeks holiday for two in sun kissed Lanza staying at one of these top quality hotels:

The hotels look fantastic and it’s a big thank you to Leroy Heatley at Leaf Properties, Lanzarote for organizing such a fantastic prize.
Speaking to Andrew last night he was thrilled to top the poll in the biggest online vote in Ulster rugby picking up almost 15% of the 1,200 votes thanks to his run of form at the end of last season and he’s definitely looking forward to a weeks R&R in Lanzrote.
Such is the busy schedule of an international player that it may be next year before he can avail of his prize as, despite his broken finger, he is in full (non-contact) training and is pushing to be back in the team a few weeks before the Heineken Cup matches, provided of course, Craig Gilroy lets him back!
The second delight was for the FRU’s latest bloggers Lauren Day and Eliza Downey who learned that they too were receiving a few days in Lanzaland as part of their blog sponsorship, again courtesy of Leaf Properties and The FRU.
Speaking to the girls they are certainly ready for their trip, the question remains is Lanza ready for them? You can read their reaction in their World Cup blog here.
Lauren and Eliza were at Belfast Harlequins to help and encourage the Ulster Women’s U18 Eastern Regional Development Squad and you can read details of the work going on in Women’s rugby here.
