The Rosie will be showing live coverage of the Cardiff v Ulster Magners League match on Friday 26th march KO 7:30pm.
I know that a few of you ‘regulars’ slipped off elsewhere for your RBS Six Nations coverage but now it’s time to get back to the Rosie for their dedicated Ulster Rugby coverage.
The game will be showing on all TV’s in the Lounge Bar and for those smokers amongst you it will also be showing on the big screen in the outside covered garden area.
With pints at only £2.90 the Rosie has become the most popular bar to watch Ulster away matches so if you want to get a seat you are advised to get there early. You never know, you may be lucky and catch sight of some members of The FRU and The Hounds of Ulster over in Cardiff! It might all get a bit messy!
If you haven’t been to The Rosie before you can get directions from the map below.

Don’t think you’ll see much on Friday night – the match is on Saturday?
sorry – my mistake – I was thinking of the return match the following sat – doh!
Yep – lay off them scooby snacks!
I thought the Rosie was excellent and very accomadating at the start of the Season ……………however had a few visits were they have been less than helpful I know that they have to keep regulars happy as they are there more often than us blow in and are the bread and butter income But when 3 or 4 want to watch the Horses(who incidently did not actually watch the races) and 20+ rugger buggers have turned up to watch the rugby are forced to cram around the one TV (other had football on!) it does not make it worth the trip……….Food were do i start i like me grub and the food on food of policy does not help especially if one is starting around ……er lunchtime
Sorry to hear that YoungMan! Like Ulster The Rosie seems to have gone off the boil mid season.
As you know I was over in Cardiff but I did speak to the owner of The Rosie at the start of the week to ensure that the Ulster game would have preference in the lounge. I’ll speak to them again and see where the mix up was.
