According to the Daily Telegraph, Stade Francais have accused a top professional sports photographer of doctoring the photographs showing Stade Francais prop David Attoub, allegedly gouging Ulster’s Stephen Ferris.
The Telegraph states:
In an unprecedented move, the photographer, Oliver McVeigh, who works for the Dublin-based sports photography agency, Sportsfile, will appear before the hearing at European Rugby Cup’s office to defend the authenticity of four photographs he took during Ulster’s 23-13 victory at Ravenhill in Belfast last Saturday.
However what is more extraordinary is that no one has mentioned the photograph that arrived in our inbox during the week showing a French player ready to take a chain saw to a prone Ferris.
The Ulster rugby public can rest assured that we forwarded a copy of this photograph to the ERC disciplinary committee early this morning, just in time for the panel to consider in the re-convened hearings!
We await the outcome with interest!
