ravens120white You know, I’ve been in two minds about whether I should go to this game given the weather! But having seen the team selection I think I will make the long and lonely journey from Larne to Belfast.

The best of Ulster’s youth in the back line with a large dollop of old growlers up front should make for an entertaining game and I’ve been looking forward to seeing the youngsters in action since they demolished Viadana all those months ago.

I might even go and stand up by the dugout’s so I can be suitably outraged by Coach Doak’s infamous outbursts.

ULSTER RAVENS: (15-9): Clinton Schifcofske; Tommy Seymour; Jonny Shiels; Ian Whitten (Captain); Chris Cochrane; Niall O’Connor; Paul Marshall. (1-8): Bryan Young; Andy Kyriacou; Declan Fitzpatrick; Dan Tuohy; Neil McComb; David Pollock; Willie Faloon; Tamaiti Horua. (16-22): Nigel Brady; Paddy McAllister; Ed O’Donoghue; TJ Anderson; Cillian Willis; Ian Humphreys; Jamie Smith

With a bit of luck I’ll set up a twitter service for this one but I’ll keep everyone informed on the site early tomorrow as I’ve been having some dodgy activity on my phone and mobile recently!!

Tickets for tomorrow’s match will be available on the gates which open from 6pm priced at £15 for the stand and £10 adults/£5 children for the Promenade. However, supporters are reminded of the savings they can make, particularly on child stand tickets if they purchase in advance online from www.ulsterrugby.com or from the Ravenhill Ticket Office or Ticket line on 028 9049 3222 (Option 2).
Supporters are also reminded that the Park’n'Ride facility will not be in operation for this match and Aquinas Car Park Pass Holders are also advised that this facility will not be in use for the game.

There was once a film about a man with 2 brains, now comes the sequel, the man with 2 minds starring the FRU’s editor!

Hopefully it will have cleared up by tomorrow – the mind thing I mean.

Looks an exciting team but I would have liked to have seen Cillian Willis get a start as I rated him highly after last season. Unfortunately he got injured and has struggled to make his presence felt ever since.

    No Caldwell!!

I recall only a few weeks ago the general feeling was that our rising star in Willie Faloon was being over-used and would benefit from an occasional rest, that in mind I am surprised he looks set to start this one. Is it a case of playing is better than training I wonder? I wonder if teams such as Munster or Leicester in the same scenario would expose such key players in a competition like this given the choice?
